Threading & Waxing

What's the difference between threading and waxing?

Threading uses a twisted cotton thread to remove hair, while waxing uses warm wax. Threading is more precise and gentler on sensitive skin, making it ideal for eyebrows and facial hair. Waxing is more efficient for larger body areas. Both remove hair from the root for long-lasting results.

How long should my hair be for waxing?

Hair should be at least 5mm long (about 2-3 weeks of growth) for the wax to grip effectively. If hair is too short, we may not achieve the best results.

Does threading hurt?

Threading may cause slight discomfort, especially for first-timers, but most clients find it less painful than waxing. The sensation is quick and any discomfort fades within seconds.

How often should I get my eyebrows done?

We recommend threading or waxing your eyebrows every 3-4 weeks to maintain your shape. This timing allows enough regrowth for effective treatment while keeping brows neat.

What's included in a Hollywood wax?

A Hollywood wax removes all hair from the bikini area, including the front, bikini line, and back. It's a complete hair removal treatment for a completely smooth finish.

Lashes & Brows

How long does a lash lift last?

A lash lift lasts 6-8 weeks, following your natural lash growth cycle. As old lashes fall out and new ones grow in, the effect gradually fades. We recommend rebooking every 6-8 weeks for maintenance.

Can I wear mascara after a lash lift?

Yes, after 24 hours you can wear mascara if desired. However, many clients find they don't need it as the lift and tint provide enough definition for a natural, wide-awake look.

What's the difference between a lash lift and lash extensions?

A lash lift enhances your natural lashes by curling them, requiring no maintenance. Extensions add synthetic lashes for a fuller, more dramatic look but need regular infills every 2-3 weeks and more careful maintenance.

How long does brow lamination last?

Brow lamination lasts 6-8 weeks on average. The longevity depends on your natural hair growth cycle and how well you follow the aftercare routine, particularly keeping brows nourished with oil.

Is brow lamination suitable for sparse brows?

Yes! Brow lamination is excellent for sparse brows as it redirects existing hairs to cover gaps, creating the illusion of fuller, thicker brows. It works with what you have naturally.

Facials & Skincare

What's included in the Ultimate Relaxation Facial?

Our Ultimate Relaxation Facial (45 minutes, £65) includes cleanse, tone, exfoliate, mask, and extractions. It's a comprehensive treatment that addresses congestion while leaving you feeling relaxed and refreshed.

How often should I get a facial?

We recommend a professional facial every 4-6 weeks to maintain healthy skin. This timing aligns with your skin's natural renewal cycle for optimal results.

Which facial is right for me?

If you're short on time or want a quick skin refresh, try our Mini Facial (25 minutes, £55). For a more thorough treatment including extractions and deeper cleansing, choose the Ultimate Relaxation Facial. You can also take our free online skin analysis quiz for a personalised recommendation.

Will extractions leave my skin red?

Some temporary redness is normal after extractions, but it typically subsides within a few hours. We apply soothing products to calm the skin after the treatment.

Nails

What's the difference between gel and BIAB?

Gel polish is a coloured coating that's cured under a UV/LED lamp for a chip-free finish lasting 2-3 weeks. BIAB (Builder in a Bottle) is a strengthening gel that adds structure to natural nails, ideal for those wanting to grow their nails or needing extra strength.

How long do gel nails last?

Gel manicures typically last 2-3 weeks with proper care. BIAB and extensions can last 3-4 weeks before needing a fill or removal.

Can I have gel nails removed at home?

We recommend professional gel removal to avoid damaging your natural nails. DIY removal often leads to peeling and weakening of the nail plate. We offer gel removal as a standalone service for £10.

Do you offer nail art?

Yes! We offer nail art starting from £3 per nail. The price varies depending on the complexity of the design. Please discuss your ideas with your technician during your appointment.

Aftercare & Results

How should I care for my skin after waxing?

After waxing, avoid hot baths or showers for 24 hours, skip swimming pools and saunas for 48 hours, wear loose clothing on treated areas, and avoid exfoliation for 48 hours. Apply soothing lotion if needed and avoid sun exposure.

What should I avoid after a lash lift?

For 24-48 hours after a lash lift, avoid water on your lashes, don't use mascara for the first 24 hours, skip steam and saunas, don't rub or touch your lashes, and use oil-free makeup remover going forward.

How do I maintain my brow lamination?

Avoid water on brows for 24-48 hours, don't brush or touch them for the first 24 hours, skip brow makeup initially, and apply brow oil daily to keep hairs nourished. Use a spoolie each morning to maintain the shape.

Can I swim after having gel nails?

Yes, you can swim with gel nails. However, prolonged exposure to chlorine or salt water may affect the longevity of your manicure. We recommend wearing gloves when possible and applying cuticle oil regularly.
